Biografia
Aoife McArdle is a filmmaker from Northern Ireland known for her work in music videos, film, and television drama.
She served as director and producer on the first season of the critically acclaimed Apple TV series Severance, earning nominations from the DGA, Emmy, Hollywood Critics, and IFTA for her contributions.
Her directing credits include music videos for artists such as Bicep, Jon Hopkins, Anna Calvi, Bryan Ferry, U2, Bloc Party, Simian Mobile Disco, Coldplay, and Wilkinson.
In 2021, she directed All Of This Unreal Time, an immersive installation and short film featuring Cillian Murphy, which premiered at the Manchester International Festival and Tribeca Film Festival.
Her debut feature film, Kissing Candice, premiered internationally at the Toronto Film Festival in 2017, followed by its European debut at Berlinale, where it was widely praised by critics.
McArdle has also directed award-winning commercials for brands including Nike, Playstation, Under Armour, Honda, GQ, Squarespace, Audi, Absolut, Diesel, and Levi’s.
