Biografia
From a young age, Vic Browder realized his passion for the performing arts. A dynamic, bold, genuinely courageous, and dedicated actor, Browder is recognized for his roles in Sicario, Waco, The Magnificent Seven, Godless, Succession, and more than 100 other film and TV projects. He has worked alongside Liam Neeson, Ethan Hawke, Idris Elba, Peter Sarsgaard, David Strathairn, Michael Shannon, and Cuba Gooding Jr.
Born in Las Vegas, Nevada, Browder faced poverty and occasional homelessness while his mother struggled to care for six children. His early involvement in local theatre provided an escape from the drugs, crime, and hardship that surrounded his upbringing. The creative arts became his refuge for self-expression and emotional support.
His dedication led him to Southern Utah University and the Utah Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City, Utah, followed by an MFA at Florida State University's Asolo Conservatory in Sarasota.
With his Master’s degree, Browder returned to the Southwest, ultimately settling in Albuquerque. Feeling limited by local acting opportunities, he planned to move to Chicago’s thriving theatre scene. However, after meeting several New Mexico contacts, he was persuaded to stay and take advantage of the burgeoning film industry.
In 2007, Browder co-founded the professional Mother Road Theatre Company, where he acts, directs, designs, builds, and produces some of the finest theatre in the Southwest.
After earning respect in Albuquerque’s black box theatre venues, he expanded into on-camera work. Through the Duke City Shootout and New Mexico’s 48-Hour Film Festival, Browder has appeared in dozens of short films, supporting emerging filmmakers in sharing their stories. He is passionate about storytelling as a powerful tool for those who need it most.
New Mexico has offered a strong support system, including his wife Julia, agent Carissa Mitchell, the vibrant cast of Mother Road Theatre Company, and a close circle of friends.
Browder takes pride in being a skilled acting teacher and director. When not involved with Mother Road Theatre Company or filming, he provides private coaching, audition taping, and classes through the New Mexico Actors Co-op.
