Frank S. Hagney (20 marzo 1884-25 giugno 1973) è stato un attore australiano. Nato a Sydney nel 1884, Hagney è apparso in più di 350 film di Hollywood tra il 1919 e il 1966. La maggior parte dei suoi ruoli cinematografici erano piccoli e non accreditati. A causa del suo aspetto alto e forte, Hagney spesso interpretava ufficiali o scagnozzi. È forse meglio conosciuto come lo spingitore senza parole sulla sedia a rotelle del signor Potter nel classico di Frank Capra La vita è meravigliosa (1946). Frank Hagney è stato anche guest star in più di 70 programmi televisivi come The Cisco Kid, Le avventure di Kit Carson, The Lone Ranger, The Rifleman, Perry Mason e Daniel Boone.
Ha recitato in The Fighting Marine (1926) con Jack Anthony, Joe Bonomo e Walter Miller; The Fighting Sap (1924) con Bob Fleming, Hazel Keener, Wilfred Lucas e Fred Thomson; Il fantasma della soffitta (1921), Ghost Town Gold (1936), Go Get 'Em Hutch (1922) con Richard R. Neil; Cavalcalo Cowboy (1932) con Eddie Gribbon e Charles Sellon; Riders of the Dawn (1939), Valley of the Lawless (1936) e Vultures of the Sea (1928) con Joseph Bennett.
I suoi 42 film muti includevano The Battler (1919), The Breed of the Border (1924), The Dangerous Coward (1924), Galloping Gallagher (1924), Lighting Romance (1924), The Mask of Lopez (1924), The Silent Stranger (1924), La tana del toro selvaggio (1925), Lone Hand Saunders (1926) e The Two-Gun Man (1926). I suoi 54 film western sonori includevano The Phantom of the West (1931), Fighting Caravans (1931), The Squaw Man (1931), The Golden West (1932), Honor of the Range (1934), Western Frontier, Heroes of the Range (1936), Billy the Kid, L'imboscata del cavaliere solitario (1941), Blazing Frontier (1943) e La vedova malinconica di Wagon Gap (1947). I suoi ultimi due film sono stati McLintock! (1963) e Vieni a suonare il corno (1963).
Hagney era sposato con Edna Shephard. Morì a Los Angeles nel 1973. È sepolto al Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale.
