Steve Varnom is an actor, screenwriter, and filmmaker based in the UK. He trained at LAMDA and is known for his role as King Custennin, a series regular in the epic historical fantasy TV series "The Pendragon Cycle - Rise of the Merlin" (Bonfire Legend/The Daily Wire). Soon, he will appear as the villain Brigham Thorne in the quirky Western "Run Honey Run," directed by Baylee Toney (Fireside Film Co.). His other notable roles include Eddie Rubinski in the romantic comedy "The Sweeter Side of Life," directed by Michael Damian for The Hallmark Channel, and Ben Goeser in "Obsession: Dark Desires," a true-life drama for Discovery I.D. His television and film credits also include appearances in "Eastenders," "Coronation Street," "Holby City," "Level Up," "God The Father," "The Storyteller," "London's Burning," "Down to Earth," "The Bill," "Dalziel and Pascoe," "Sugar Rush," and "Doctors." Additionally, he wrote, directed, and starred in the feature film "It's Been Real," and holds supporting roles in "Heroes and Villains" and "Level Up." He starred as General George Monck in the American costume drama "Broadside," directed by award-winning David Hickman. Steve has enjoyed a distinguished theatre career, performing leading roles in London's West End and collaborating with acclaimed directors at the Royal Shakespeare Company, RUG, The Manchester Royal Exchange, and The New Vic. His production company, King Ziggy Films, is currently developing several feature film projects.
