MacKenzie Hill is a director and producer whose work explores identity, culture, and the complexities of belonging across documentary and narrative storytelling.
She's known for her work across documentary, television, and branded content. Her projects span a range of genres, with a focus on character-driven storytelling that explores identity, culture, and human connection. Hill began her career in Los Angeles, working in post-production before moving into producing. She helmed a production company with a partner in LA, where she developed and produced projects for major networks, studios, and global brands.
She previously worked at FOX Studios, where she gained experience in scripted television production, contributing to projects from development through post. After relocating to New York, Hill expanded her work into late-night television, political comedy, and documentary filmmaking.
Her credits include collaborations with companies such as Disney, Netflix, Google, and NASA, with projects distributed on platforms including Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, and Netflix. She served as a producer and director on the IDA Award-winning docuseries Origins of Hip-Hop, and has contributed to a range of high-profile documentary and branded productions.
Hill is currently developing multiple original projects as a director, including narrative features, while continuing to work across both independent and commercial spaces. She is based just outside of New York City.
