Biografia
Keskin began his acting career in 1997 by enrolling in theater classes at the 'City of Izmit Theater Company,' founded under the leadership of Isil Kasapoglu. Between 1998 and 2001, while studying acting, he took on various roles in productions by the same theater company. Seeking to advance his theater and acting education, Keskin moved to Istanbul and continued training with Isil Kasapoglu at 'Akademi Istanbul.' After completing his studies, he co-founded 'Semaver Kumpanya' with Kasapoglu in 2002. For his contributions and achievements in theater, Keskin received the '32nd Ismail Dumbullu Award' and remains active with 'Semaver Kumpanya.'
Keskin has also achieved considerable success on television, appearing in popular series such as 'Hirsiz Polis,' 'Bu Kalp Seni Unutur mu?,' 'Deli Sarayli,' 'Leyla ile Mecnun,' 'Ben de Ozledim,' 'Bes Kardes,' and the groundbreaking web series 'Masum,' Turkey’s first professional internet series. His role as 'Ismail Abi' in the acclaimed absurd comedy 'Leyla ile Mecnun' brought him national recognition and a wider audience. Additionally, Keskin formed 'Leyla the Band' with the show’s director Onur Unlu and fellow actors Ali Atay and Osman Sonant, highlighting his passion for music.
Since 2004, Keskin has appeared in over thirty films and has become a sought-after actor for diverse roles under some of Turkey’s leading directors. His film debut was in Reha Erdem’s 'Korkuyorum Anne.' That same year, he worked with director Yavuz Turgul in 'Gonul Yarasi' and later with the legendary Zeki Okten in 'Cinliler Geliyor.' He portrayed a role in the internationally acclaimed and award-winning film 'Sonbahar,' directed by Ozcan Alper, and appeared in Aydin Bulut’s 'Baska Semtin Çocuklari.'
After meeting director Onur Unlu and collaborating on 'Gunesin Oglu,' Keskin and Unlu continued to work together in various TV and film projects, including 'Leyla ile Mecnun,' 'Bes Kardes,' 'Sen Aydinlatirsin Geceyi,' and 'Kirik Kalpler Bankasi.' Their next film, 'Itirazim Var,' earned Keskin the 'Best Actor' award at the 51st Antalya Altin Portakal Festival, the 20th Sadri Alisik Cinema Awards, and the 33rd Istanbul Film Festival for his portrayal of 'Imam Selman Bulut.' In the same year, he also won 'Best Supporting Actor' at the 21st Adana Altin Koza Festival for his role in 'Silsile.'
Keskin has since taken on a wide range of characters in films including 'Pus,' 'Vavien,' 'Av Mevsimi,' 'Takiye: Allah'in Yolunda,' 'Unutma Beni,' 'Eylul,' 'Yeralti,' 'Yabanci,' 'F Tipi Film,' 'Yok Artik,' 'Limonata,' and 'Tereddut.' His recent works include 'Tatlim Tatlim' and the 2017 film 'Ahlat Agaci,' directed by the acclaimed Nuri Bilge Ceylan.
