Biografia
Bruce Driscoll is a composer and producer whose music has appeared in over fifty film and TV projects - including The Morning Show, M3GAN, and Locked Down - and who co-leads the acclaimed indie-pop duo Freedom Fry.
Los Angeles-based and genre-fluid, Bruce's work spans television, film, animation, fashion, and critically acclaimed indie releases. He was instrumental in the return of the beloved indie band Ivy, co-producing their post-Adam Schlesinger album Traces of You. He also scores Nickelodeon's Super Duper Bunny League and contributes original music to the upcoming Yo Gabba Gabbaland Season 2 on Apple TV+.
With his Parisian wife Marie Seyrat, Bruce forms one half of Freedom Fry, whose catalog has surpassed 150 million streams and been featured across Apple, Amazon, HBO Max, Netflix, and more. Their partnership with Universal Music produced the breakout single "Shaky Ground," named Best Indie Pop of 2016 by Spotify, while "Awake" from their album Classic earned the same honor in 2018.
Bruce also co-founded Blondfire with his sister Erica Driscoll. Their synth-driven sound led to collaborations with the late Tim Bergling (Avicii) on his multi-platinum album True, as well as partnerships with EMI and Warner Bros Records on the strength of the singles "Waves" and "Where The Kids Are."
His songs and scores have appeared in a wide range of high-profile placements. Freedom Fry's "Le Point Zéro" was featured in the Blumhouse hit M3GAN; "Shaky Ground" appeared in the trailer for the Anne Hathaway film Locked Down; and their cover of Gorillaz' "Clint Eastwood" soundtracked the season-one finale of The Morning Show.
In fashion, Bruce's work has been used by Dior, Abercrombie, Madewell, Lanvin, and Glamour Magazine. Freedom Fry's French-language cover of Harry Nilsson's "Everybody's Talkin'" was a standout moment at Ralph Lauren's west coast runway show California Dreaming.
He has also composed music for major campaigns by Airbnb, Honda, Ikea, Intuit, JCPenney, REI, United Airlines, Xfinity, and more.
His television scoring includes Apple TV+'s BAFTA Award-winning Lovely Little Farm, as well as additional cues for Netflix's That '90s Show with principal composer James Iha - including performing on the title theme.
