Egypt Sherrod is a Home Space Expert, Realtor, and Designer, best known as the host and executive producer of HGTV's "Flipping Virgins" and the long-running series "Property Virgins," which aired for sixteen seasons. She also hosted HGTV's 2016 White House Christmas Special, the 2017 Rose Parade, and the 2017 HGTV Urban Oasis Giveaway.
As an award-winning Realtor and CEO of the Atlanta-based Egypt Sherrod Real Estate Group, she was named one of Network Journal's 40 Under 40. Egypt has made recurring appearances as the trusted home buyers and sellers expert on NBC's Today Show, CNBC, FOX, CNN, HLN, and has been featured in Fast Company, Yahoo, Homes.com, Rolling Stone, Black Enterprise, among other prominent publications and digital outlets. Licensed in two states, she also writes a real estate column for Atlanta Magazine's HOME.
Egypt authored the NAACP Image Award-nominated book, "Keep Calm...It's Just Real Estate: Your No-Stress Guide To Buying A Home," published by Running Press/Perseus Books, which became a bestseller in its category. A dynamic speaker and moderator, she has hosted Oprah's "The Life You Want Tour" and numerous business conferences. With a 20-year career as an award-winning radio personality, Egypt’s show has been syndicated across more than 60 cities nationwide.
Leveraging her talent for communication into real estate expertise, Egypt empowers others to achieve financial freedom through her nonprofit, The Egypt Cares Family Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization that provides motivational lectures, boot camps, and seminars promoting wealth preservation and homeownership. Her foundation’s impactful work has earned her multiple Citations and Proclamations for community service from the State Assembly and City Council.
Egypt holds a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting, Telecommunications & Mass Media from Temple University in Philadelphia. She possesses several professional designations including Master Certified Negotiator, Accredited Buyer Representative, Certified Residential Specialist, and Certified Distressed Property Expert. A devoted mother, loving wife, respected entrepreneur, and committed community advocate, Egypt skillfully uses the platforms of television and radio to uplift others while living life to the fullest.
