Michele Dawson is an American born actress known for her role as Nurse Deb in the unexpected final chapter of Universal Pictures' "Halloween" franchise, "Halloween Ends," from David Gordon Green. The character of Nurse Deb has numerous moments throughout the movie that give homage to the very first "Halloween" in1978 including her iconic kill scene. "Halloween Ends", set four years after the events of the second film of the relaunched "Halloween" franchise, follows Laurie Strode (Jamie lee Curtis) in a final confrontation with Michael Meyers. Rohan Campbell (The Monkey, The Hardy Boys), plays Corey Cunningham, who is accused of killing a boy he was babysitting. This ignites a cascade of violence and terror that will force Laurie to finally confront the evil she can't control, once and for all. Dawson portrays the role of Nurse Deb, a determined nurse, who might appear to be the mindless beauty but don't be fooled by her irreverence. She is already one step ahead of you. Deb is unrelentingly searching for the joy in the next moment. "Halloween Ends" was the #1 movie in the World on its opening weekend, October 14, 2022. NBC Universal's Peacock simultaneously released the movie same day-and-date.
Additional credits for Dawson include her role as Tara Henson on CBS' 'Criminal Minds' and Paulette Daniels in the Lifetime movie "A Mother's Intuition" as well as a plethora of short films to include 'Flattest' by Michael Gallagher which debuted at Cannes Film Festival and 'All I Need Is Your Signature'. Prior to booking her role on 'Criminal Minds,' Dawson studied theatre at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. During her time at LMU Dawson immersed herself into the theatrical community pursuing roles in 'Macbeth,' 'The Seagull,' 'Skin of Our Teeth,' and 'South Pacific.' Upon graduating with a BFA in Theatre, Dawson went on to advance her formal acting training through improvisation classes at The Groundlings, Meisner-based classes with Andrew Benne, and audition technique training at Margie Haber Studio and Stan Kirsch Studios, where she continues hone her craft.
A natural athlete, growing up in Atlanta, Georgia, she trained as a competitive gymnast and spent much of her childhood inside a gymnastics gym. Gymnastics helped break Dawson out of her shell through her performances on the mat, which led her to exploring her love for performing further, transitioning into acting when she graduated high school. While her career as an actress is Dawson's key focus, she spends her free time gracefully flipping through the air and learning new partner acrobatics skills, a passion she discovered at a climbing gym in 2019. Dawson performed all of her own stunts in her role in "Halloween Ends," allowing her to showcase her athleticism on-screen.
Dawson splits time between Atlanta and Los Angeles.
