Dave Pounder is an adult film producer, director, and performer based in Boca Raton, FL. He serves as the president of Dave Pounder Productions, a company specializing in reality adult content targeted primarily at young, college-aged couples. Dave is a 31-year-old white male, standing 6'3" tall and weighing 185 lbs., with blonde hair, blue eyes, and an athletic, slender build. Born in Haroldwood, Essex County, England, while his father worked overseas for Ford Motor Company, his family moved to Farmington Hills, MI, a Detroit suburb, when he was a few months old. He spent his first 18 years there.
Dave attended Detroit Catholic Central High School, focusing on college preparatory courses and developing an early interest in pornography. He then earned a Bachelor's degree in Finance from Michigan State University (MSU), where he met Leslie, his first serious partner, with whom he dated and lived for nearly six years.
After college, Dave joined GE Capital’s Leadership Development Program (LDP), a rigorous management training initiative, which required him to relocate every six months to cities like Philadelphia, Denver, and Richmond. During this time, he held key roles in Risk Management, Finance, IT, and Marketing.
Following two years at GE Capital, Dave pursued a Master’s degree in Information Management from Arizona State University (ASU). While at ASU, he became active in the swinger community in Phoenix. After graduating, he accepted a position as a Business Intelligence Analyst at WFS Financial, a Wachovia Bank subsidiary in Irvine, California, where he purchased a condo and lived for several years.
In addition to running his production company, Dave is Executive Vice President of Daydream Entertainment Group, an adult internet company based in Glendale, CA. They developed a pro-am, character-driven adult reality website centered around him, www.bikinibanger.com. The Bikini Banger series earned nominations from Adult Video News (AVN) for Best Pro-Am Series, and Bikini Banger Vol. 2 was nominated for Best Pro-Am Release.
Before producing and directing, Dave appeared in hundreds of adult films. Notably, he was the only male performer who refused to participate in anal sex scenes or any scenes involving violence or degradation of women. His productions maintain this standard, excluding anal sex, violence, and degradation, and recently instituted a condom-only policy to protect performers and demonstrate social responsibility.
Dave also co-hosted Real Talk, a call-in radio show similar to Loveline, launched in 2001 at the University of California, Irvine, on 88.9FM KUCI. He holds memberships in both the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) and was signed with Baron Entertainment, a SAG-franchised talent agency in Los Angeles.
Actively shaping the future of adult entertainment, Dave has consulted with health labs to improve STD testing and secure online access to results for performers (see www.talenttestingservice.com). He advocates for mandatory condom use in adult productions, raising the legal age for performers from 18 to 21, and establishing a .xxx domain for adult websites. He has delivered lectures on adult entertainment at Indiana University, UCLA, and other academic and policy institutions.
Outside his career, Dave enjoys outdoor activities including kayaking, biking, tennis, hiking, camping, and beach visits. He also appreciates watching DVDs, biographies, and documentaries, reading non-fiction, and playing chess. Committed to a healthy lifestyle, he abstains from alcohol, smoking, and illegal drugs.
Dave was admitted to a fully-funded Ph.D. program at Indiana University’s Kinsey Institute to study the psychological and sociological impacts of sexuality in media. His dissertation focused on the relationship between adult content consumption and infidelity in committed relationships.
Looking ahead, Dave plans to retire from performing to concentrate on building an intimate relationship, producing a documentary on the social, psychological, and economic impacts of adult film work, syndicating his radio show nationally, earning a black belt in Hung Gar and/or Muay Thai, and writing a book about his experiences.
