Biografia
Angel Pai was born in Taipei, Taiwan, and grew up in New York City from early childhood. Having lived in seven countries, she brings a global outlook and cultural fluency to her work in film, media, and public leadership.
She has hosted cultural and entertainment programs on major platforms such as MTV Iggy and the Travel Channel. Later, she became the host of NYC Vibe, a cultural segment broadcast on PBS All Arts and featured throughout New York City's taxi media network. This series delved into the personal stories behind significant cultural and philanthropic events, highlighting the missions, communities, and leaders driving meaningful impact.
As a producer, writer, and creative director, she founded RealmWalker Films, where she develops narrative and documentary projects that use storytelling as a tool to promote awareness, resilience, and shared understanding. Her work balances intimate, character-driven narratives with broad themes exploring identity, perspective, and the common human experience.
Angel is also a public speaker and humanitarian leader with years of involvement at the United Nations and beyond. She has served multiple times as Master of Ceremonies and panel moderator at the United Nations General Assembly in collaboration with the PVBLIC Foundation, facilitating high-level discussions among diplomats, global foundations, innovators, and cultural leaders on resilience, equity, sustainable development, and cross-sector cooperation. Her ongoing advocacy spans UN-affiliated foundations and international initiatives supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Through media, storytelling, and public leadership, she champions mission-driven organizations working at the nexus of women’s empowerment, educational access, ending gender-based violence, and cross-cultural collaboration.
Her acting in the short film Fish Stew garnered international festival recognition, including a Best Actress award. The film was featured in numerous international festivals, including the Oscar-qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival.
Angel is a multidisciplinary artist known for her painting and sculpture. She began exhibiting oil paintings at age nine and gained early recognition through a young artist showcase linked to the Museum of Modern Art in New York. She attended the prestigious Stuyvesant High School, following an advanced academic path focused on medicine before ultimately shifting to film and television. Her artistic practice evolved into metalwork and crystal-based sculptures through her atelier, ILLUMIN by Angel Pai, where she creates unique pieces inspired by wabi-sabi and kintsugi philosophies that embrace fracture as transformation rather than concealment. Her work has been displayed at the United Nations General Assembly, and she has been invited to exhibit at the Museo di Mineralogia, Sapienza Università di Roma.
During her teenage years, she trained in Taekwondo under the president of the World Taekwondo Federation, earning eight national gold medals. She also has training in fencing and archery.
As a fashion model, she has appeared in major publications including Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. She placed in the top four of the Miss Asia pageant and was crowned Miss Fitness. A longtime muse of designer Malan Breton, she has featured in his runway shows since his brand’s inception.
She is fluent in four languages.
