Jason Hervey was born on April 6, 1972, in Los Angeles, California. He is the son of Alan and Marsha Hervey and has a brother named Scott. At age four, Jason began his career by appearing in over 250 commercials for some of America’s most popular brands. His visibility from these commercials soon led to several appearances on notable television shows. He also had cameo roles in feature films such as Back to the Future, Pee Wee's Big Adventure, Back to School, Monster Squad, Police Academy 2, Meatballs 2, Tim Burton's Frankenweenie, and others. After two seasons on Different Strokes, Jason secured the role of Wayne Arnold in the Emmy Award-winning series The Wonder Years.
Building on this experience, Jason transitioned into producing. At 17, he created, starred in, and produced 26 episodes of the Saturday morning series Wide World of Kids. Following six seasons and 29 Emmy nominations for The Wonder Years, Jason partnered with former Sony of America CEO Peter Guber at Mandalay Sports Action Entertainment (MSAE). While at Mandalay, he led a partnership with Time Warner's World Championship Wrestling (WCW), resulting in 17 original productions for television, home video, and pay-per-view, an original soundtrack with Tommy Boy Records, and four television movies for TBS and TNT, including one of the highest-rated TV movies in basic cable history, which Jason originally created.
After over five years at Mandalay, where he expanded the division, Jason briefly served as Chief Marketing Officer at a Fortune 500 company. He then returned to the entertainment industry by partnering with longtime friend, colleague, and former President of Time Warner’s WCW Eric Bischoff to form Bischoff Hervey Entertainment (BHE TV, LLC). This company focuses on content creation and production for various broadcast platforms, licensing and merchandising, and innovative brand integration solutions. Jason and his family currently reside in Scottsdale, Arizona, and Los Angeles, California.
