Shemeka Wright is an actress, writer, producer, director, and entrepreneur with more than two decades of experience in film and television. With over 30 screen credits, she is recognized for emotionally grounded performances and a storytelling style rooted in authenticity, human complexity, and cinematic realism.
As an actress, Wright is known for her performances in Lifetime's Secrets in the Building (2022), June's Crown (2023), which premiered at the American Black Film Festival, More Than One (2019), and Unshaken: The Knock (2025). Her work spans film, television, and digital formats, with a continued focus on layered, character driven roles.
Behind the camera, Wright is the founder of Wright Positive Films® where she develops and produces original scripted content. Her latest series, Glass House (2026), is a six-episode vertical drama that she created, wrote, produced, directed, and stars in, continuing her commitment to creating compelling stories that challenge, entertain, and spark conversation.
Expanding beyond traditional filmmaking, Wright is also the creator of The AEI Method(TM) her signature performance framework for actors dedicated to helping actors strengthen their craft through practical, performance-based coaching. She is the creator of an AI powered coaching platform built around The AEI Method(TM), bringing personalized audition feedback and performance development to actors worldwide.
A member of the Television Academy's Performers Peer Group and a SAG AFTRA performer, Wright continues to build a career that bridges acting, filmmaking, education, and technology while championing authentic storytelling both in front of and behind the camera.
