Biografia
Tanner Beard is an Emmy-nominated film and television actor, CEO of Silver Sail Entertainment, Co-Founder of the Mammoth Film Festival, and has written and directed numerous motion pictures, series, and documentaries over the past several decades.
Born Neal Tanner Beard on September 16, 1984, at Big Spring Hospital near his hometown of Snyder, Texas, he was named after his father, Ricky Neal Beard. His heritage includes Irish, Scottish, Norwegian, English, French, Cherokee, and Choctaw Indian ancestry, primarily from his mother Janice’s side.
After graduating high school in Snyder, Texas, Beard attended the New York Film Academy in Hollywood, California. This education led to his first comedy TV series, "Valley Peaks," which he produced, wrote, directed, and starred in for over two seasons early in his career.
Tanner has since diversified his career across various areas of film and television. As a director, he expanded his Western short film "Mouth of Caddo" into the feature-length "Legend of Hell's Gate," which he also wrote, produced, and starred in alongside Kevin Alejandro, Summer Glau, Henry Thomas, and Glenn Morshower. His passion for Western storytelling continued with the European Western "6 Bullets To Hell," filmed on the same sets used in Sergio Leone and Clint Eastwood classics in Spain. Featuring music by Ennio Morricone, the film meticulously recreates the cult classic style of the 1960s and 70s, earning several awards. Most recently, he served as associate producer on Kevin Costner's epic "Horizon: An America Saga" Part II.
As an actor, Tanner has appeared in early roles such as "The Letter" with Winona Ryder and James Franco, Robert Rodriguez’s "From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series," and SXSW favorites "Sylvio" and "Barracuda," starring Allison Tolman from "Fargo." He also appeared in "We Summon The Darkness," working with Johnny Knoxville, as well as "I Wanna Dance With Somebody," "Blood Behind Us," and numerous other projects, consistently making a strong impression both on and off screen.
Tanner is perhaps best known as a producer, having quickly established a reputation by producing films featuring stars like Aaron Paul, Juliette Lewis, Cate Blanchett, Brad Pitt, Christian Bale, Natalie Portman, Antonio Banderas, Ryan Gosling, Michael Fassbender, Val Kilmer, and many more. Collaborating with family is especially meaningful to him, having completed over a dozen projects with his cousin Russell Quinn.
As CEO of Silver Sail Entertainment and an Emmy-nominated creator, Tanner Beard’s future work is highly anticipated.
