Based in the Chicago area, Andy leads multiple projects across sports, entertainment, and corporate sectors. He is the Founder and CEO of Intentional Sports, a 10-acre sports campus on Chicago's West Side that offers a world-class sports and wellness facility with professional coaching to children who might not otherwise have the chance to play. As Executive Director of Palatine Celtic Soccer Club, he oversees nearly 2,000 student-athletes. Andy is also a Co-Founder and Partner at Nine Eight Partners, which encompasses consulting, speaking, teaching, and writing services. In his free time, he continues acting, writing, and producing content through his entertainment label, The Dunes Unlimited.
Andy graduated from Northwestern University in 1998, earning All Big-Ten honors three times, serving as Team Captain for three years, holding the all-time assist record, and being named to the NSCAA All-Midwest Region team. He played seven seasons of professional soccer in Germany, Chicago, Indianapolis, and Charlotte. During this time, he trained in martial arts, achieving a Third-Degree Black Belt and serving as head instructor at a tae kwon do school.
Following 9/11, Andy served nine years on the Tactical Response Unit of the Phoenix Police Department. His roles included tactical operations, proactive community policing, certified translation in Spanish and French, peer counseling for PTSD/trauma, and serving as a Subject Matter Expert and Physical Training Instructor for all Arizona law enforcement agencies. He competed in the World Police and Fire Games and won the Gold Medal at the 2012 National Championships for the Toughest Competitor Alive event.
Recognized as a Sports Performance and Fitness Expert, Andy has published over 100 articles and videos in national media outlets such as Men's Fitness, Muscle & Fitness, and USA Today. His training and nutrition videos on YouTube have garnered 4.5 million views. He was discovered as an actor when cast alongside Will Ferrell in the film Everything Must Go. In 2012, he relocated to Los Angeles, appearing in over 40 films and TV shows, as well as numerous commercials and photo campaigns.
In 2017, Andy moved to the San Francisco area to create and lead COPA Soccer Training Center, a $50 million sports technology and entertainment startup. Throughout his career, he has coached soccer at all levels for 30 years, earning his US Soccer A License after a year-long process in 2019/2020. Andy and his wife Julie have been married for 25 years and have four young soccer players and a bulldog named Georgie Best.
Andy’s lifelong passion is storytelling, and he is grateful to be working as an actor in Chicago on some outstanding recent productions.
