Mystic Inscho (Legal 18) is a sixteen-year-old actor based in Los Angeles. He is best known for his starring role as Reynie Muldoon in the Disney+ series The Mysterious Benedict Society, where he appeared alongside Tony Hale and Kristen Schaal. He also played a supporting role in the Netflix film Your Place or Mine, starring Reese Witherspoon and Ashton Kutcher. Most recently, Mystic was a top 20 finalist on Chuang Asia, an international idol survival show filmed in Thailand.
Mystic began his journey in the performing arts long before his television and film debut. Trained from a young age in dance, singing, piano, guitar, and drums, he quickly found a home on stage. He performed lead roles in several musical theater productions across the San Francisco Bay Area, including Tarzan, A Christmas Carol, and Annie. At just nine years old, he was cast as Zack Mooneyham, the lead guitarist, in the School of Rock Broadway National Tour directed by Andrew Lloyd Webber. After touring the U.S. for over ten months, Mystic relocated to Los Angeles with his family and began auditioning for screen roles. He appeared in a number of short films before landing his breakout part as Reynie Muldoon.
With dark brown hair and brown eyes, Mystic has a versatile look that reflects both his Asian heritage and European ancestry. He was chosen by Disney Channel to represent the Asian American and Pacific Islander community during AAPI Heritage Month. A passionate language learner, he is fluent in Mandarin and has performed in several other languages, including Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Korean, and Japanese.
In addition to acting, Mystic is an accomplished musician and songwriter. He studies popular music at a performing arts high school and frequently performs in the San Gabriel Valley Asian community, where he is also active as a volunteer. He writes and releases original music on Spotify and shares his creative process and performances with fans on Instagram and Tiktok.
Athletic and energetic, Mystic enjoys martial arts, skateboarding, volleyball, and soccer. Known for his quick memorization, emotional depth, and professionalism, he continues to impress producers, directors, and fellow performers with his talent and promising future.
