Biografia
Natasha Krishnan was born in Kerala, India, and raised in the Middle East, Kuwait. She is currently based in Toronto, Canada since the age of fifteen. She discovered her love for performing arts at the age of five through dance. Her mother nurtured this talent by encouraging her to train in the Indian classical dance form called Bharatnatyam, which later led Natasha to expand into other styles like Bollywood, Hip Hop, Bhangra, Dancehall, Reggae, and Contemporary etc. Her journey began in community theatre, landing the lead role in a story about the practice of "Sati" in India. Through many stage performances, she went on to become a finalist on the national television show ‘Canada’s Got Talent’ in 2012 and Season 2 of OMNI TV’s ‘Bollywood Star’. A First runner-up and Miss Congeniality at the 2014 Miss India-Canada Pageant, and Miss Best Talent at the 2015 Miss India Worldwide Canada Pageant; competitions she entered to practice public speaking. In addition, she performed at the 2015 Pan Am Olympic Games with Cirque du Soleil and Toronto Raptors games, among others. She choreographed and produced concept-based dance videos on YouTube, building a following of over 31K subscribers. This ignited her passion for storytelling and being in front of the camera.
Natasha made a leap into acting in 2015 and consistently hones her craft. She landed the series lead on Potluck Ladies Season 1 (Hollywood Suite, Yes TV), which won Best Drama at Series Fest (2024). Her on-screen credits also include Rabbit Hole on Paramount+ (2023), Metamorphosis on Tubi (2022), Netflix's Wedding Season (2022), and Percy vs Goliath starring Christopher Walken (2020). Natasha can be seen next in the Rom-Com feature titled 'Grace Period' directed by Peter Facinelli.
A determined spirit wanting to make an impact through storytelling, she began to write, direct, and produce her own short films in 2020. Her films have screened internationally, earning her accolades as a multi-hyphenate in this industry. Her dark comedy thriller short, The Algorithm, premiered at Cineplex and earned acclaim at CSA-qualifying festivals like Hamilton Film Festival and TINFF, where she won the Best Actress Award. Her most recent Rom-Com short, Soupy Sunday, had its Canadian premiere at MISAFF 2025, won Best Comedy Film at the 2026 SWIFF Festival, and garnered her the Outstanding Performance Award at AIMAFF in Greece. She was further awarded Best Writer at the 8th annual Great Canadian Comedy Film Festival. She continues to build her knowledge behind the camera with a focus towards female-driven narratives while driving her acting career forward.
Natasha is drawn to the mystical side of life, thrives on adventure, and being outdoors in nature. She also loves to express herself creatively through fashion, poetry, and cooking.
