Audrey Landers is a multifaceted talent—actor, singer, writer, director, composer, producer, and entrepreneur. She studied Psychology at Columbia University/Barnard College and music theory at the Juilliard School of Music. However, she is best recognized worldwide for her iconic role as "Afton Cooper" on the television series "Dallas," a part she played for eight years. Afton was the sultry singer who performed songs written by Audrey herself. She reprised this role in the "Dallas" revival on TNT. Her film credits include starring as Val in *A Chorus Line: The Movie* and numerous guest appearances in TV shows and films. Landers also starred in Hallmark Channel's *Love At Sea*, Lifetime's *Engaged to a Psycho* (2020), and *Murder at the Mansion*. She is set to co-star in a two-hour Showtime movie pilot in 2022.
Audrey recorded her first hit at age 14 on Epic Records and has sustained a music career spanning over three decades as a multi-gold and platinum recording artist and songwriter. She has earned 10 gold singles, 4 gold albums, and 2 platinum albums. Many of her European hits, like "Manuel Goodbye" and "Playa Blanca," have become timeless classics, often re-recorded by artists worldwide. She has headlined concerts in Europe, Las Vegas, and Atlantic City alongside legends such as Billy Crystal, Glen Campbell, Bob Hope, Rich Little, and Tom Jones. Recently, she performed songs from *The Great American Songbook* with a 64-piece Pops Orchestra.
Behind the scenes, Audrey has been active since the 1980s, writing, producing, and directing films, TV series, and music videos. Alongside her business partner and mother, Ruth Landers, she co-produced feature films released by MGM and Paramount, including *Ghost Writer*, *Club Fed*, *California Casanova*, and *Circus Island*—which Audrey also wrote and directed. Audrey created the award-winning musical educational children's TV series *The Huggabug Club*, writing its 47 half-hour episodes and over 250 original songs. The series was donated to Public Television for five years by Ruth Landers and has served as a valuable learning resource for preschoolers. Audrey also produced *The Huggabug Club Live!* stage show, which toured nationwide and delighted audiences of all ages.
Continuing her work in music, Audrey produces and directs music videos for emerging artists. Together with Ruth, she founded Landers STAR Collection®, a women’s clothing and accessories brand offering glamorous, affordable fashion internationally through outlets like HSE Munich, QVC UK, Italy, and France. Their fashion philosophy is, "Every woman is a star and she deserves to shine®."
In recognition of her achievements, the Florida Motion Picture & Television Association awarded Audrey Landers the Lifetime Achievement Award at their 22nd Annual Crystal Reel Awards. Audrey’s son, Daniel Landers, is carrying on the family legacy as a third-generation entertainment professional. Daniel is an accomplished composer, songwriter, musician, actor, performer, and social media influencer. Together, they are collaborating on a cutting-edge dark pop musical for film and stage, a half-hour comedy series, and a high-concept drama series.
