Kim Brockington is an American actress known for her versatile work across television, film, and stage. Best known for recurring in roles such as Dr. Loretta West on Power Book III: Raising Kanan, as Lillian Gaines on Godfather of Harlem. And most recently as Elaine on Tyler Perry’s House of Payne. Other film and television credits include Joker, Love Songs, The Drowning, School of Rock. Bull, Law & Order, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Hate, The Path and more. A career highlight is her portrayal of Zora Neale Hurston in the PBS American Masters documentary Zora Neale Hurston: Jump at the Sun. She has also toured nationally and internationally with her acclaimed one-woman show Zora, performing at venues including the Kennedy Center, Library of Congress, National Black Theatre Festival, and Harlem Stage. Daytime audiences recognize Brockington from her long-running role as Dr. Felicia Boudreau on Guiding Light, as well as recurring roles on One Life to Live and All My Children. An accomplished stage actress, she has performed extensively in New York, Off-Broadway, and regional theater. She received an Audelco Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for Archbishop Supreme Tartuffe. Notable stage credits include productions at Manhattan Theater Club, Harold Clurman Theater, Crossroads Theatre, Yale Rep, A.R.T, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park. A National Tour of ‘Doubt" and more. Brockington is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and has also studied with Susan Batson and Lloyd Richards. In addition to acting, she is a playwright and author of Blue Goddess Love Poems: A Journey to Self Awakening a five star favorite on Amazon. Her play "Broken Pieces" was a semifinalist for the Eugene O’Neill and the Princess Grace Award. She has appeared in national commercials and is an accomplished voiceover artist and audio book narrator. Including Grand Theft Auto franchise she is the voice of Phanny Joe Styles radio DJ on Head Radio in Grand Theft Auto 2. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Brockington resides in New York City. She is a certified meditation teacher and has practiced Transcendental Meditation since the age of 19 a gift from her mom.
