Biografia
Will Raee is an independent filmmaker and experienced show producer. Born in Los Angeles to Iranian immigrants who arrived in America in 1960, he grew up in Pomona and Agoura Hills, California.
From a young age, Will was captivated by sci-fi, avidly watching shows like The Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits, and the original Star Trek series.
During his teenage years, he was deeply influenced by punk, new wave, surfing, and technology. In the early 1990s, Will combined his passion for music and electronics by playing keyboards in several electronic industrial bands, one of which eventually evolved into Marilyn Manson.
In his early twenties, Will shifted his focus to filmmaking, enrolling in film school to further pursue his creative ambitions.
At 28, amid the dot-com boom, Will identified a need for technology-focused programming and created three nationally syndicated series: Inside Technology, Technology Today, and Business & Technology, managing all three weekly shows.
Later, he turned back to his love of music by founding Rock Docs, a company dedicated to producing and directing music videos. During this period, he wrote and produced the acclaimed Marilyn Manson documentary, Demystifying the Devil.
Will went on to produce SyFy Channel's Alien Gods and played a key role in launching and producing the successful first season of A&E’s Criss Angel MindFreak.
Following Mindfreak, Will ventured into feature films, producing Honor and The Exorcist Chronicles.
On April 1, 2007, he partnered with actor and comedian Will Sasso to establish Lord Mucker Entertainment, a company focused on creating informal comedic feature films and TV specials. Their first comedy film, For Christ Sake, was completed in July 2007.
In 2008, Will served as producer and director for the Spike TV pilot 1000 Ways to Die.
In 2015, he wrote and directed the dark comedy Austin Found, directed the short film Faith & Dreams, and developed the feature Girl Soldier starring Uma Thurman. He is also working on a hip-hop television series in collaboration with WME and 3 Arts.
