Robert Craighead is an acclaimed actor, writer, and producer with a career spanning more than thirty years. A graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, he has been a series regular on numerous major television shows, guest-starred in hundreds of episodes, appeared in over fifty feature films, and performed in over one hundred theatrical productions. Recently, he has gained recognition as a film and television producer. In 2025, Craighead earned acclaim for his role alongside Regina King in the Netflix film ‘Shirley,’ which led to his casting as Governor Irwin Harper in the Netflix comedy series ‘Miss Governor.’ That same year, he completed his sixth season portraying the corrupt Sheriff Walker Conley in Tyler Perry's ‘Ruthless’ on BETplus. His other prominent series regular roles include Detective Vincent Skarsgaard in two seasons of Seth Rogen's ‘Future Man’ on Hulu and Sheriff Mobley in two seasons of the southern drama ‘Too Close To Home.’ Known for his deep, gravelly voice, Craighead has also featured in several successful motion-capture video games. He played Brok, the foul-mouthed blacksmith, in the 2022 Video Game of the Year, ‘God of War: Ragnarök,’ as well as in the 2018 GOTY ‘God of War.’ Additionally, he portrayed the villainous Father Matthias opposite Camilla Luddington’s Lara Croft in Sony PlayStation’s ‘Tomb Raider,’ and the diabolical General Hemlock in ‘Dead Rising 3,’ among other roles. Beyond acting, Craighead writes and produces projects through his production company, Positude Productions. He recently executive produced and co-starred in ‘Blood Rush,’ a unique western vampire comedy starring Billy Zane, set for release in 2026. Throughout his career, Craighead has received over forty awards for his acting and producing efforts, with several projects currently in pre-production and post-production stages.
