Biografia
Born in 1985 in Kosice, Brano began his acting career as a child, performing in various productions at the Kosice City Theater and Kosice State Theater. He graduated from the drama department of the Prague Conservatory in 2006. As an actor, he appeared in numerous TV productions, series, and films, including "Kral sokolu," "Vsichni moji blizcí," "Kruh," "Red Baron," "Post Bellum," and "Vypravej." He also participated in many theatrical performances.
From 2009 to 2017, he was a permanent director at Prague's Studio Ypsilon, where he developed his own theatrical projects as both author and director. He frequently directs at Prague venues such as the National Theater, Theater in Dlouha, and Minor Theater, as well as theaters outside Prague including ND Brno, Petr Bezruc Theater, and DAB Nitra. In addition to writing and shaping production concepts, he often serves as the author or co-author of theatrical scripts.
In 2013, Brano received the Alfred Radok Award for Talent of the Year as a director. Since 2014, he has played a leading role in the popular Czech TV series "Ordinace v Ruzove zahrade II," and from 2016, he became one of the series' permanent directors. Since then, he has focused on television and film production. His directorial debut in motion pictures was the short film "Na Hory" in 2018, followed by the short film "Maturant" in 2019. That same year, he began working as a consulting director for the "Ordinace" series.
Brano also works as a Czech dubbing director for foreign films, exclusively for Disney-Pixar. He continues to engage in scriptwriting and dramaturgy. Between 2018 and 2020, he served as the artistic director of the Minor Theater.
