Biografia
Vasja Mihelcic, was born 1976 in Ljubljana, former Yugoslavia, todays Slovenia. He started his career as a child singer on children festivals "Blejski Srcek", "Zlati Srcek". He got to know the work at TV production, very early in his life. In 1990, he decided to quit his singing career. After the high school in 1993, he got employed in a family company Micom Film and TV Production where he spend 3 years learning as production assistant. In 1995 he made his praxes on international documentary film "Fight for the river". End of 1996, he took over one of the most successful Slovenian TV series "Lahkih nog naokrog" as executive producer and occasional co writer. In years to come, he worked on several project as an Production coordinator: Poseidon Prisoners - documentary film, Odklop - Youth TV series, Live shows from churches across Slovenia. In the year 1999, he went to serve in the military. After the completion of his tour, he went for 1 month to America, to attend work shops under the organization of Hollywood film festival about future of TV productions and scriptwriting. In the year 2000 he returned to the family company Micom and started to work as technical director and executive producer. Between 2000 and 2002 he was an author of TV Series "@ friki" and worked on different project as executive producer on TV series: Magic of species (Cari Zacimb), Magic Land(Sanjska Dezela), Gulimisek, illnesses of our time(Bolezni nasega casa), After the family tragedy in 2002, he decided to make a break from entertainment business and time to think. In 2003 he decided to go on his own and opened a production company Tim studio. In the year 2004 he produced, wrote and directed TV series Afna friki. In the years 2006 - 2008 he produced, wrote and directed, sci-fi TV series Mission Afna Friki(Misija Anfa Friki). In 2006 - 2009, he was hired, to direct the documentary TV series Slovenian water circle (slovenski vodni krog). In the year 2009 and 2010 he wrote and directed children fantasy TV series Nighty(Nocko). Most of the Project, were made and produced for National TV Slovenia. He also produced, wrote and directed image films and music spots. Because of the private reasons he decided in 2011 to leave his country and move to Berlin. He opened a production company "in between media" and started new. Goal of the company is to bring together different creative people from all over the world to create inspiring stories for Television and Cinema.
