A highly adaptable performer across film, television, and stage, Chris is well-versed in the entertainment world both in front of and behind the camera, excelling in comedy and drama alike.
His film work includes roles such as Tina, a transvestite, opposite Sir Anthony Hopkins in "The World's Fastest Indian," a part in "The Joneses" alongside Demi Moore, and a lead role in the beloved comedy "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story." Additional film credits feature "The Lottery Ticket," "Friday After Next," "Sex Ed," "'TRI," and "Jimmy Vestvood American Hero."
On television, Chris is in his third season as a recurring character, Hoover, on HBO's "Silicon Valley" and appears on the acclaimed FX series "Better Things." He was a series regular on CBS's "The Great Indoors," NBC's "One Big Happy," and David E. Kelley's "The Wedding Bells" for FOX. His recurring roles include Showtime's "DICE" starring Andrew Dice Clay, "Satisfaction," "Californication," and he gained recognition as 'Krazee Eyez Killa' on "Curb Your Enthusiasm." His guest appearances span shows such as "Ugly Betty," "CSI: Miami," "Hot in Cleveland," "Monk," "Weeds," among many others. Chris has also appeared multiple times on "Late Night with David Letterman" as the irate audience member and is set to debut a self-help series titled "Be a Better Man with Chris Williams," which he created, stars in, and produces. His voice work includes animated shows like "The Boondocks" and "Word Girl," as well as multiple characters in the "Crash Bandicoot" video game series.
As a stand-up comedian, Chris has performed at premier comedy venues worldwide, including Caesar's Palace, The Improv, The Comedy Store, and The Venetian. His character-driven one-man show, "Old Blue Eyes Is Black," showcases his inventive routines, and he has also trained with the Groundlings.
With over two decades of experience, Chris coaches professional actors in scene work and improvisation and travels nationwide to educate children about the performing arts.
A graduate of Georgetown University, Chris is a magician and member of the Academy of Magical Arts (The Magic Castle). Beyond entertainment, he holds a 4th-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and participates in marathons to support the American Diabetes Association and the Eye Bank of New York. He also serves on the board of the charity Special Kids Network. Chris splits his time between Los Angeles and New York.
