Biografia
Andrew began acting at the age of 5 and a half. Always a cheerful, friendly, and outgoing child, one day while running around, a woman approached his mother and asked to take a photo of him. She believed he would be perfect for a movie they were filming in Arizona called The Kingdom, directed by Peter Berg and starring Jamie Foxx and Jason Bateman. After filming, Andrew told his parents he loved the experience and wanted to continue acting. In January 2007, Andrew and his family moved to Los Angeles, and six weeks later, he landed a recurring role on the TV series Dirty Sexy Money, starring William Baldwin and Donald Sutherland.
Over the next several years, Andrew appeared in numerous national TV commercials, television shows, and feature films, including three installments of the Insidious franchise—Insidious, Insidious Chapter 2, and most recently Insidious 5, filmed in 2022. He enjoyed playing Bradley Cooper's son on the set of The Hangover, and made guest appearances on shows such as ER, How I Met Your Mother, Criminal Minds, Mad Men, and The Middle. During this period, he also volunteered with Funny or Die, a new company founded by Will Ferrell, collaborating with contributors like Eric Apel and Adam Ray.
After completing work on Insidious Chapter 2, Andrew and his family decided he should take a break from acting to focus on school and typical childhood activities. He attended The Buckley School from 8th through 12th grade, where he got involved in video production, stand-up comedy classes, and played on the basketball team until graduation. During this time, Andrew also played video games competitively, achieving the #1 rank on the North American leaderboards in Rainbow Six Siege for three months. His interest in gaming sparked a passion for composing music and creating beats.
Following high school, Andrew enrolled in college and enjoyed dorm life until the COVID-19 pandemic forced campus closures. During this period, he developed a deep passion for music production and decided to shift his focus in that direction. He transferred to 1500 Sound Academy, a music school in Inglewood, CA, and has since collaborated with numerous recording artists, musicians, writers, and producers. Working alongside a variety of creatives, Andrew felt ready to return to acting. Shortly after graduating from music school, he reprised his role as Foster Lambert in the feature film Insidious 5. Andrew currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.
On his father's side, Andrew's heritage traces back to 1623. While the Astor family is most famously connected to the English and German John Jacob Astor lineage, this bloodline also includes descendants from Northern Italy and Spain.
