Natasha Mayet is an award-winning South African-Pakistani actor, writer and director with an international career spanning Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Cape Town. Born in Pakistan and based in South Africa, Natasha is one of the few Pakistani-born actresses building a screen career across multiple global markets.
She can currently be seen in Sniper: No Nation on Apple TV, in which she plays Olivia. Her recent screen credits also include How to Make a Killing, directed by John Patton Ford, recently released in cinemas worldwide. She also appears in Gore Verbinski's film Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die.
Natasha trained in Los Angeles at the New York Film Academy and has studied with acclaimed acting teachers including Ivana Chubbuck and Anthony Meindl. She holds a degree from Bates College (USA) and a Master’s degree from the University of Cape Town. She is also an acting coach with Anthony Meindl’s Actor Workshop, where she works with actors internationally.
As a filmmaker, Natasha recently wrote, directed, and starred in Always, a one-minute, one-take short film shot on iPhone, which won the Portal 5:1 Challenge. Her work as an actor and filmmaker is driven by bold, emotionally truthful storytelling, with a particular interest in international, genre, action, thriller, sci-fi, and character-driven projects. She was also nominated as Female Filmmaker of the year in Los Angeles.
In addition to her screen work, Natasha is the founder of GLOW Film Festival in Cape Town, where she champions diverse voices and emerging filmmakers. She is represented by Pursch Artistes and Contractors in South Africa and continues to work across local and international productions.
