Biografia
Michael Leavy was born to be a filmmaker. From the moment he discovered movies, he dreamed of creating them. Thankfully, that dream quickly became reality. Michael started making his own films and taught himself editing at a young age, continually honing his skills. From using a paper towel roll to scroll credits to mastering Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere, his passion has remained unwavering. He nearly single-handedly managed his high school's television studio, anchoring the morning show and producing more skits and short films than anyone else in the studio's history. Michael earned a Bachelor's Degree in TV & Film from Saint John's University and pursued graduate courses to deepen his expertise. In 2010, Michael, alongside his brother Jason Leavy and Steven Della Salla, founded the production company Fuzz on the Lens Productions. In 2014, Fuzz on the Lens gained international attention with their viral "Staten Island Clown" publicity stunt. Michael directed and produced the comedy/fantasy "Abnormal Attraction," featuring Malcolm McDowell, Gilbert Gottfried, Tyler Mane, Leslie Easterbrook, and Academy Award nominee Bruce Davison. He is best known for starring as 'Will the Exterminator' in the cult classic original "Terrifier." More recently, Michael served as one of the Producers and Assistant Director for the Top 10 box office hit "Terrifier 2" and is currently directing and producing Fuzz on the Lens Productions' upcoming horror feature "Stream," starring horror legends Jeffrey Combs, Danielle Harris, Tony Todd, Tim Reid, Dee Wallace, Daniel Roebuck, Felissa Rose, Dave Sheridan, Mark Holton, Damian Maffei, and David Howard Thornton as Art the Clown.
