Austin Fryberger was born in Tullahoma, Tennessee, to Peter Fryberger, an engineer, and Maralyn Fryberger, a musically gifted mother. He is the youngest of three brothers. His heritage includes German, Dutch, Swedish, and Native American roots, with his surname tracing back to a distant German immigrant ancestor named "Freyberger." His eldest brother, Charles Fryberger III, is a physician, while Evan is pursuing a career in meteorology. Austin left his southern hometown after taking advice from Tina Treadwell, a TV/film industry professional, to pursue a career in film acting in Los Angeles, California. Acting in film was a passion he decided to follow.
Austin Fryberger is best known for his recurring role in the Netflix series Boo, Bitch, starring opposite Lana Condor, where he stands out as a key performer. He was also a series regular on Amazon's Highston, directed by Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris (Little Miss Sunshine), and written by Oscar-winning writer Bob Nelson. Austin earned critical acclaim for his role in the independent film Snatchers, which screened at Sundance and SXSW and was acquired by HBO Max.
He also appeared in the Disney Channel Original Movie Invisible Sister and held recurring roles on Netflix's Huge in France, Disney XD's Kirby Buckets, and guest roles on Paramount+’s iCarly, Netflix's Fuller House, and FOX's The Grinder.
Most recently, Fryberger starred as one of the leads in the feature film My Missing Sister, directed by Ben Meyerson.
Upcoming, Austin will appear in the ensemble cast led by Sophia Ali in The F*** Happened, directed by Tony E. Valenzuela.
