Biografia
Alicia Rivera Frankl is the President and Co-founder of DragonTree Media and holds the position of VP of Finance and Production at Tayrona Films, Inc., a company specializing in financing, production, and distribution. She is a DGA Production Manager and a member of IATSE's IA as a Production Accountant. Notably, Ms. Frankl was the first Latina to serve as a Production Accountant on a studio film and the first Latina to lead TV financing at Paramount Studios.
Alicia’s extensive experience includes roles such as Line Producer, Executive in Charge of Production, Production Accountant, Production Manager, Controller, Supervising Producer, and Producer across studio and independent features, TV series, pilots, movies of the week, and documentaries.
She has negotiated with IATSE, DGA, SAG, and WGA representing productions, unions, and studios. Alicia has also provided production and financial consulting to major studios including 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros, Paramount, Disney, HBO, Universal Studios, Sony, and RKO.
A recurring guest lecturer in Cuba, Alicia teaches production accounting and production classes in Old Havana. She has developed production budgets and boards for films with budgets ranging from $5 million to $100 million, for projects in the U.S. and internationally.
Ms. Frankl has collaborated with film legends such as Ross Hunter, Steven Spielberg, Joel Silver, Richard Donner, Walter Hill, and many others. She currently serves as Co-Chair of the DGA Latino Committee.
