Kathryn presented "The Den" on RTÉ for over 5 years. A television and radio presenter, actor, musician and singer, she graduated from Griffith College Dublin with a first class honours degree in journalism and visual media. She has worked in the entertainment industry for over 20 years both on-screen, on stage and behind the scenes.
Kathryn is a multi-skilled television and radio presenter, writer and researcher with vast production experience spanning entertainment, live daytime, and children's programming. She has amassed over 900 hours of on-air presenting and overseen projects from initial idea right through to broadcast. She has also contributed to a variety of well-known programmes including The Late Late Show and The Today Show.
Beyond her on-screen work, Kathryn is a versatile professional. She has stepped into many roles in her broadcasting career from researcher to production coordinator, scriptwriter, on-screen reporter and live studio presenter. A strong writer, she is a passionate storyteller who thrives in producing quality content for a range of audiences.
Kathryn is also an accomplished actor and singer/musician. In the past 12 months she has appeared in various television commercials and campaigns with major brands including Currys Ireland, Barry's Tea, Bord Gáis, AIG/GAA, Island's Edge (Heineken), Paddy Power, Fáilte Ireland, Laya Healthcare, Construction Industry Federation and has recently been cast as a voice over artist on a children's animated screenplay with Telegael, as well as a radio commercial for Heineken. She has also starred in a lead role of a Hallmark feature film which premiered in the United States in September 2022. Kathryn appeared as Wendy Downes in Season 2 of Harry Wild with Jane Seymour (airing in 2024 on RTÉ and around the world). She plays the lead role in a new spooky comedy/drama series for RTÉ One 'The Unreal' (airing Halloween 2024 & 2025), produced by Dyehouse Films, and made a special appearance on Ros na Rún on TG4 in Nov/Dec 2023. Kathryn works with Telegael/TG4 regularly on various children's content, whether it's voicing animated films or singing children's songs as Gaeilge for the TG4 website. She is also one of the main characters in the newly released children's podcast series for RTÉJr, Time Tablet.
Kathryn plays a number of musical instruments including guitar, piano, flute, violin, tinwhistle and ukulele. She has a huge passion for all types of music & singing.
Kathryn presents a music show on Dublin's 98FM every Saturday afternoon from 2-6pm and Mon-Friday nights 10pm - midnight.
