Raised in Lucknow, Aahana relocated to Mumbai as a child, transitioning from LaMartiniere Girls College, Lucknow to Mary Immaculate Girls High School, Mumbai.
After finishing school, she immersed herself in Mumbai's Prithvi Theatre, where she discovered her true passion for the stage. From assisting backstage to selling tickets, she embraced every facet of the theatrical world.
Despite earning a degree in Commerce and Economics and a vocational diploma in advertising from HR College, Mumbai, Aahana realized a conventional desk job wasn’t for her. She joined the inaugural batch at Whistling Woods to master acting and hone her skills.
Her theatre career began with Akvarious Productions, followed by several leading roles with Naseeruddin Shah’s Motley theatre company in plays like 'By George' and 'Arms and the Man.' Her dedication to theatre remains strong, and she has been part of the acclaimed production 'Sir Sir Sarla' since 2012, which continues to draw full houses.
In 2013, she earned a role in "Yudh," a groundbreaking 20-episode mini-series directed by Anurag Kashyap, starring Amitabh Bachchan. Aahana played the lead role as Mr. Bachchan’s daughter.
She has explored various entertainment mediums, starring as the lead in the TV show Agent Raghav - Crime Branch on AND TV and hosting on Star Sports Pro Kabaddi. She has also made a significant impact in OTT platforms with an impressive filmography.
Aahana gained widespread recognition with the 2017 film 'Lipstick Under My Burkha,' which overcame censorship and bans to become a sleeper hit in India. Since then, she has taken on challenging roles that have been praised by audiences. Her notable shows include Betaal on Netflix, Inside Edge on Amazon, Rangbaaz on Zee5, and Marzi on Voot Select.
Her successful films include The Accidental Prime Minister, where she portrayed Priyanka Gandhi, and Khuda Hafiz, in which she played an Arabic officer, Tamena Hamid, performing her own stunts and speaking Arabic for the first time.
Currently, she stars in the highly anticipated remake of the French series Call My Agent and Madhur Bhandarkar’s India Lockdown.
