Teya Wild has long been in the spotlight. Introduced to the entertainment world as a child through her passion for acting, she gained early experience on projects such as Head Over Heels, A Storm In Summer, The Outer Limits, Radio Disney, Kohl's Clothing, AmSouth, Kodak, and Crystal Light.
Alongside her work in film, television, and commercials, Teya began training in dance, which quickly became a true passion. Starting her professional dance career at a young age, she embraced every chance to improve her skills and artistry. Her expertise spans numerous styles including hip hop, foundations (popping, locking, house, breaking), jazz, lyrical, theatre, contemporary, tap, and pointe. Additionally, she is a R.A.D. ballet honours graduate.
Teya’s dedication and determination have opened doors worldwide. Her credits include working with Hailee Steinfeld (US Tour), Taylor Swift, Laura Marano (Assistant Choreographer), PSY (MMVAs), and Victoria Duffield (Western Canada Tour). Her extensive film and TV resume features Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist (NBC), Work It, The Christmas Chronicles 2, Julie And The Phantoms (Netflix), Descendants 2 and 3 (Disney), Riverdale, DC's Legends of Tomorrow (CW), and The Twilight Zone (CBS). Feature films include Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, Step Up 5: All In, Centre Stage 2: Turn It Up, and Spectacular! She has also performed on the stages of The American Music Awards and The Grammy Awards, and was a finalist on So You Think You Can Dance Canada, season 4.
As a judge and adjudicator, Teya evaluates competitions across North America. She has toured extensively throughout Canada and the US, teaching the history of hip hop. Renowned for challenging her dancers to reach new heights, she emphasizes the importance of becoming a well-rounded dancer and performer.
Teya divides her time between Los Angeles, California, and Vancouver, BC. After securing her O-1 visa and relocating to LA, she has had the privilege of working closely with top industry choreographers including Luther Brown, Kenny Ortega, Christopher Scott, Aakomon Jones, Jamal Sims, Draico Johnson, Nappytabs, Rosero McCoy, Teresa Espinosa, Tony Testa, and Keone & Mari.
