Biografia
Ronald Patrick Thompson, named in honor of his late Uncle Ronnie, was born on May 18, 1981, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. His heritage includes Caribbean roots on his mother's side and a mix of Russian and Austrian on his father's.
He lived in and around Montreal until age 12, then moved to Cornwall, Ontario, where he stayed from 12 to 19 years old. There, he attended Gladstone Public School and Cornwall Collegiate & Vocational School (CCVS), the same schools attended by actor Ryan Gosling. Both were part of CCVS's "Program of The Arts" acting program, though at different times. Throughout high school, Ronald was active in sports as both a player and coach, excelling in track & field and basketball. In his senior year, he won gold medals in basketball and the 4 x 100 relay.
After high school, Ronald returned to Montreal to attend Dawson College. During a tryout for the AA Men's basketball team, he tore the ACL in his right knee. Choosing not to have surgery, he spent a year rehabilitating and planned to try out again the following year. However, before he could, he tore the ACL in his left knee. Following this, Ronald decided to travel abroad, spending five and a half years in Taiwan teaching English at private kindergartens and exploring Southeast Asia and Europe. In 2008, he arrived in Vancouver, enrolled in New Image College's professional acting program, and is now represented by Trisko Talent Management. His acting credits include Supernatural, Fringe, Rogue, Six, and Travelers.
