Mark Hadlow is a distinguished New Zealand actor, comedian, singer, writer, producer, and director. With a deep passion for performance, his career spans 130 plays, musical theatre productions, numerous film roles, television series, commercials, and thousands of radio voice-overs.
His role as the dwarf Dori in The Hobbit marked his third collaboration with director Peter Jackson. In Meet the Feebles, he voiced Heidi the Hippo and Robert the Hedgehog, also performing many songs. In King Kong, he portrayed Harry in the vaudeville scenes alongside Naomi Watts and Bill Johnson. Hadlow considers working on Peter Jackson’s projects among his most thrilling experiences.
He appeared with New Zealand Maori comedian Billy T James in "The Billy T James Show."
Famed for his singing talent, Mark has performed in numerous musicals and concerts, with Little Shop of Horrors being a personal favorite, having participated in four separate productions.
Throughout his career, Mark has earned multiple accolades, including Best Supporting Actor in a Television Comedy for his role as Harry, the challenged brother, in the popular three-season sitcom Willy Nilly.
In 1993, he received Best Theatrical Performance of the Year for his acclaimed one-man show "SNAG," and in 1995, he was honored as Entertainer of the Year. Additionally, he won Best Voice Over Artist at the 2010 Radio New Zealand Awards.
Mark is also a skilled narrator; his latest work includes narrating the charming short film 'The Story of Percival Pilts' by Janette Goodey and John Lewis. He has released an audio CD titled "Tall Tales," featuring a collection of classic children’s stories.
