From childhood in Paris, Bertrand-Xavier Corbi was enchanted by cinema, often skipping school to watch the newest films at local theaters. Although he pursued international trade at university, he ultimately followed his passion and dedicated himself to a film career.
He began working in international film festivals and production companies at home, where his fluency in English, Spanish, and German was a significant asset. This behind-the-scenes experience laid the groundwork for his transition to acting.
After moving to Los Angeles in the late 2000s, Bertrand-Xavier developed a varied on-screen portfolio, including short films, web series, commercials, and television roles. A major breakthrough came in 2016 when famed director Francis Ford Coppola cast him as Alexander Graham Bell in the live cinema project Distant Vision. That year, he also co-starred in the Western Hickok (2017) alongside Luke Hemsworth, Kris Kristofferson, and Bruce Dern.
Standing 6'6" and weighing 230 pounds, with a distinctive red beard, his imposing presence secured him roles as bikers, lumberjacks, inmates, Vikings, an Orc in a Netflix film, and a witch hunter’s henchman on the Disney kids' show Bunk'd (2018).
In 2017, his strong screen presence earned him the part of Jacques, a witty French special forces explosives expert, in the Rogue Warfare trilogy (2019), acting alongside Stephen Lang, Will Yun Lee, Chris Mulkey, and Fernando Chien.
He reunited with director Timothy Woodward Jr. for the western The Outsider (2019), featuring Sean Patrick Flanery, Jon Foo, Trace Adkins, and Kaiwi Lyman.
Returning to France in 2020 and building on his Hollywood experience, Bertrand-Xavier expanded his career across Europe, appearing in various TV series, feature films, short films, and commercials in multiple countries.
His standout role came in 2025 with legendary filmmaker Luc Besson’s adaptation of the classic gothic horror Dracula, portraying Captain Targol, the right-hand man to the titular character, alongside lead Caleb Landry Jones. The film’s notable cast also includes Christoph Waltz, Zoe Bleu, Guillaume de Tonquedec, Matilda de Angelis, and Ewens Abid.
That year, Bertrand-Xavier completed filming on an ambitious French sci-fi movie directed by Olivier Boillot, titled Juste Après l'aube, starring Charlie Anson, Aissa Maiga, and Mehmet Kurtulus; as well as a Polish Netflix TV series and a German film for Amazon Prime, both slated for release in 2026.
