Gina Sedman is a powerhouse creative executive and one of the most prolific independent forces in today’s global entertainment industry. As the CEO, founder, owner, and president of GNA Universal Media, she leads a multi-platform company spanning music, film, television, publishing, and broadcasting. Her organization includes The Indie Post Magazine, Indie Soul Radio, Under the Radar Magazine, Gico Music, NDME TV, Indie Music TV, the CV Indie Film Awards, and All IndieFlix.
With more than three decades of experience, Sedman has established herself as a multi-hyphenate recording artist, filmmaker, songwriter, music engineer, producer, director, editor, journalist, publisher, author, and radio host. Her work blends creative excellence with entrepreneurial vision, making her a leading figure within the independent entertainment community.
As a recording artist, she has written, produced, and recorded more than sixteen albums and an extensive catalog of singles, most released through her label and publishing company, Gico Music. Since 2006, she has independently created all of her recordings, developing a signature sound rooted in classic soul, funk, and R&B. Her recent releases - Valuable People (2024), 1972 (2025), and Said MAN! (2025) - achieved strong international airplay, chart success, and rapid physical sales.
Her single Smile gained major global attention, earning support from BBC Radio London, where she performed live on the Robert Elms Show. The track was named Record of the Week on Solar Radio, entered the Solar Radio Sweet Rhythms Chart, and was selected as Winter Pick of the Week on TeeRex Radio in Canada. It also received playlist support from Jazz FM presenters including Robbie Vincent, Danielle Perry, Simon Phillips, Yolanda Brown, and John Osborne. The single features contributions from Grammy Award-winning guitarist Michael J. Calhoun and producer Kevin Flournoy.
Sedman’s forthcoming album Who’s Clyde (June 1, 2026) is one of her most ambitious projects, inspired by the classic 1970s soundtrack era. Entirely written, produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Sedman, the album features additional performances by Andrew Sedman on percussion, Robert "Peewee" Hill on bass, and Michiko Hill on keys.
Closely connected to the album is her upcoming feature film Who’s Clyde, a retro, family-friendly comedy-mystery set in a stylized 1970s world. Sedman wrote, produced, directed, filmed, and edited the project, transforming the music into a visual narrative. The film will premiere on 7 June 2026 at The Reading Biscuit Factory in the United Kingdom.
Beyond music, Sedman has built a significant body of work as a self-taught, self-funded filmmaker. She has written, produced, directed, filmed, and edited numerous stage plays, web series, and films, including Aspire to Inspire, The Unexpected, The Assumptions, The One Year Pact, Acts of Kindness, Rose England, The Star Connection, and the children’s film The Incredible Shrinking Liar (2023). She has also created multiple web series, including Billy Jones, Same Difference, The Diary, and Maylene. In total, she has produced seventeen works across film, television, documentaries, and talk shows.
As the head editor and publisher of The Indie Post Magazine, Sedman has interviewed a wide range of artists and public figures across music, film, television, and business. Her interview subjects include Anthony Hamilton, Jennifer Holliday, Karyn White, Melba Moore, Miki Howard, Kenny Lattimore, Eddie Levert, Robert Kool Bell, Lou Gossett Jr., and many others, along with a broad spectrum of independent creatives.
A seasoned live performer, Sedman has shared stages with major acts and opened for Rose Royce. She has headlined respected UK venues including The Bear Club, PizzaExpress Live London, The Stables in Milton Keynes, and Soul Mama London, with additional performances scheduled at PizzaExpress Live Chelsea. She tours extensively across the UK with her husband, Andrew Sedman, who performs percussion and serves as her manager.
Her work has earned numerous awards, including the BMA Award for Best Gospel Artist, multiple CV Music Awards, and recognition as one of the Top 12 Most Influential Women in the Coachella Valley.
