Born in Paris, Stany Coppet is an international actor whose diverse heritage and adaptable appearance enable him to convincingly portray French, Caribbean, Middle Eastern, Latino, and other characters. Fluent in French, English, and Spanish, and possessing basic knowledge of Arabic, he offers a global outlook to his performances.
Coppet trained for two years at the renowned Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute and spent four years refining his craft in the United States before returning to Europe to build his career in French film and television.
He achieved widespread acclaim in Spain and Latin America for his chilling role as terrorist Khaled Ashour in the popular series El Príncipe (Mediaset). He then delivered a compelling performance as Bruno Silva, a ruthless Brazilian gold miner, in Canal+'s Guyane (Ouro). Subsequently, Coppet co-starred with Paz Vega in the praised Mediaset series Perdóname Señor.
In cinema, Coppet produced, co-wrote, and starred in the French independent film La Vie Pure, a physically challenging project filmed over four weeks in the Amazon rainforest, during which he lost 33 pounds. His recent work includes Netflix's Vikings: Valhalla (Season 2), portraying Khan, and the feature film Deep Fear as the antagonist José—a role that led him to earn his level 2 scuba diving certification.
On French television, Coppet has held significant roles in prime-time series such as Tropiques Criminels (Deadly Tropics), playing Gendarmerie Commander Cyril Aubrun, and Demain Nous Appartient (Tomorrow Is Ours), where he regularly stars as lead character Surgeon Aaron Leclerc.
In theatre, Coppet has appeared in multiple Off-Broadway productions and starred in From Slavery to Freedom, directed by Kasi Lemmons, which examined colonialism. Most recently, he led the Spanish dark comedy La Herencia, touring across Spain for two years to critical praise.
