Galyn Görg was an actress, professional dancer, and producer, best known for her roles in Point Break (1991), RoboCop 2 (1990), and Judgment Night (1993).
Born in Los Angeles, California, Galyn's mother, Gwyn Gorg (Gwyndolin Lee Görg), is a writer, storyteller, and educator, while her father, Alan Gorg (Alan Kent Görg), is a filmmaker, writer, and educator. She has one brother, Carter, and three sisters: Gentry, Sunny, and Tagi. Alongside growing up in Los Angeles, she spent much of her childhood on Hawaii's Big Island and Oahu. Her father is of German descent, and her mother has African-American, Choctaw, Blackfoot, and Irish heritage.
With parents deeply involved in theater, Galyn had opportunities to participate in numerous youth productions and later secured roles in local theater where she excelled. Her dance career began in Hollywood when she earned scholarships to the Dupree Dance Academy, Alvin Ailey Summer Program, and The Professional Dancer's Society. She trained in various dance styles, including Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Haitian, Afro-Samba, Afro-Cuban, West African, Hip-Hop, Hula, and Funk.
Thanks to her exceptional training, Galyn worked with renowned choreographers such as Michael Peters, Debbie Allen, Sarah Elgart, Marguerite Derricks, Otis Salid, Jaime Rogers, Franco Miseria, Bill Goodson, and Vince Patterson. She performed professionally in music videos and commercials, leading to a successful career as a dancer and showgirl on Italian television.
