Tony has been involved in film and television acting for over 15 years. From 2000 to 2007, he trained and performed in recurring, supporting, and principal roles on shows aired by The WB, FOX, CBC, and MTV in Vancouver. In 2007, he dedicated himself full-time to completing a BFA in Film Studies at Simon Fraser University. His graduating film premiered at TIFF in 2008 and was later featured at SXSW, AFI Docs, VIFF, and other festivals.
As a filmmaker, Tony explores themes of family, history, and place. His work has been presented to international audiences at festivals including TIFF, SXSW, True/False, VIFF, and AFI SilverDocs. In 2010, he was selected for the TIFF Talent Lab filmmaker development conference and its emerging filmmaker competition, and in 2013, he participated in the RIDM Industry Conference’s Rough Cut Sessions. His debut feature film, "Frank and the Wondercat," premiered at the Vancouver International Film Festival in September 2015 and has screened at festivals across North America.
He currently resides and works in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
