Dylan McTee was born in Los Angeles, California, to Cathleen Carriere and Gregory McTee. His mother, a native of Los Angeles, has Indigenous Mexican and French roots, while his father is of Irish heritage. From a young age, supported by his parents and two brothers, Dylan developed a passion for films and novels, excelling in reading, writing, and local theater performances. Inspired by Daniel Day-Lewis’s acting, he felt drawn to storytelling and knew his path was set.
As a child, Dylan pleaded with his parents to let him pursue acting professionally, but they required him to finish his education, including earning a college degree. He dedicated the following years to honing his craft and, upon graduating from the University of Southern California's School of Dramatic Arts, immediately embarked on his acting career.
One of Dylan’s early auditions was for Sweet/Vicious (2016), a provocative series about sexual assault on college campuses. He portrayed a charming, likable character who was later revealed to be a sociopathic rapist. He then starred in the independent film Midnighters (2017), directed by the Ramsay Brothers. His second film, The Wind (2018), a western horror directed by Emma Tammi, features Dylan as Gideon Harper, a young settler in the late 1800s whose life unravels soon after moving west with his wife.
Dylan can now be seen on The CW's Roswell, New Mexico (2019) as Wyatt Long, a troubled and depraved rancher, and in the reboot of the iconic horror franchise Wrong Turn (2021).
Beyond acting, Dylan enjoys martial arts, writing poetry, and camping with his rescue dog, Hal.
