He co-founded Ryan Murphy's Half Initiative and served as Program Director during its early years, where he developed the Directing Mentorship Program, Guild Trainee Program, Production Assistant Intensive Program, and Internship Program. Tanase Popa also worked at Pixar Animation Studios on the Academy Award® and Golden Globe®-winning animated film Coco. Additionally, he has experience as a Company Manager for Broadway shows and national tours including Wicked, Next to Normal, Sweeney Todd, Company, and Gypsy.
