Nagesh Bhosle is an acclaimed Indian actor in film, television, and theatre. Recently, he appeared in the Hollywood film 'Hotel Mumbai' alongside Jason Isaacs, Armie Hammer, and Dev Patel. With over a hundred Indian films and thousands of television episodes to his credit, Nagesh has worked extensively in Hindi, Marathi, and Telugu cinema. Transitioning into directing and producing, he has helmed six films to date. His directorial debut, 'Goshta Choti Dongraevadhi' (2009), was praised by critics and audiences alike. Nagesh's films often explore contemporary issues in India. Under Ajna Motion Pictures, his first production and directorial venture, "Panhala" (2015), received critical acclaim, multiple awards, and was showcased at international festivals including the 25th Golden Rooster in China. His film "Nati Khel," scheduled for a 2017 theatrical release, was screened at the PAMLA conference in Los Angeles and fostered dialogue between filmmakers and scholars. It also earned a special award at the Wuhan International Art Film Festival in December 2016 and was an official selection at the Pune International Film Festival, Bodhisattva International Film Festival, and Orange City International Film Festival in 2017.

Based on true events, the film depicts the aftermath of the Indian government's announcement of a 100,000 rupees compensation to families of drought-affected farmers who have committed suicide.
