For nearly 30 years, George Gray has been a familiar face on American television as a host, comedian, actor, and performer across major TV and cable networks. In the late 1990s, he gained recognition as the host of GSN’s live revival of "The Gong Show," titled "Extreme Gong." This role opened doors to numerous hosting opportunities, including the premiere season of TLC’s hit series "Junkyard Wars," which earned him a Primetime Emmy Award nomination. George later hosted NBC’s daily U.S. broadcast of the popular game show "The Weakest Link," along with other NBC programs such as the series "$25 Million-Dollar Hoax!"
Having established himself as a prominent host, Gray went on to lead various shows including FOX’s "Gimme My Reality Show!" and multiple HGTV specials and series like "What’s With That House?," "HGTV Summer Showdown," "All Out Christmas," and "Man Land," where he toured the country seeking married men who transformed basements, attics, or garages into personal retreats. His other notable work includes ESPN’s sports-fantasy reality show "I’d Do Anything," National Lampoon’s "Greek Games," TBS’s "Movies for Guys Who Like Movies," and FX’s "FXM Friday Nights." Behind the scenes, he created and co-hosted the sketch comedy series "A Guy Walks Into a Bar" with George Wendt of "Cheers" fame.
In April 2011, Gray made television history as the third permanent announcer of the iconic, longest-running game show "The Price Is Right," where he continues as Drew Carey’s sidekick in their 13th season together. Born in St. Louis and raised in Tucson, Arizona, George now splits his time between Los Angeles, the historic mining town of Bisbee, Arizona, and his hometown of St. Louis. A graduate of the University of Arizona, he is also a cat owner and an avid collector of classic cars and motorcycles.
