Ayelén Agüero is a visual artist and filmmaker who studied film directing at CIEVYC and complemented her studies in social sciences at IDAES/Unsam (Argentina). She completed the Film Program at the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (2019). In her work, she explores cultural studies as a construction of societies around the physical/material body, the body-work relationship, and questions with their own origins. She works with photography, video, installation, performance, and poetry. Her work has been exhibited in Argentina, Peru, Spain, and Italy. She has received creation grants from the National Arts Fund (2020, 2021) and the Kenneth Kemble Award for young visual artists (2022). In the audiovisual field, she has worked in Ecuador, Mexico, and the U.S. She is currently an assistant director and camera operator at Abel Goldfarb's production company in New York, USA, while preparing an exhibition at the Macba Museum (Buenos Aires) where she will exhibit part of the research process for her first feature film, Tierra Citrus.
