Brian has worked as a producer for over twenty years, collaborating with directors like Ang Lee, Todd Haynes, Noah Baumbach, Jason Reitman, Nicholas Stoller, Phil Lord and Chris Miller, David Frankel, Malcolm D. Lee, David Zucker, Dexter Fletcher, Ramin Bahrani, Michael Cuesta, Will Speck and Josh Gordon, and Miguel Arteta. He is currently producing the Bruce Lee biopic for Sony Pictures, marking his third film partnership with visionary director Ang Lee. Most recently, he completed "White Noise," directed by Noah Baumbach and starring Adam Driver, Greta Gerwig, and Don Cheadle. The film, adapted from Don DeLillo’s novel, was the second most streamed movie on Netflix in late 2022.
Previously, Brian produced Paramount Pictures' "Clifford the Big Red Dog," featuring Jack Whitehall. The film opened at number two at the domestic box office and became the most-watched original film ever on Paramount's streaming service.
In 2018, Brian produced his second Ang Lee film, "Gemini Man," starring Will Smith, which was released in October 2019. The movie pushed technological boundaries with high frame rate, high resolution, 3D visuals, and groundbreaking visual effects, including the creation of a digital double co-starring alongside Will Smith.
Brian also produced "Wonderstruck," directed by Todd Haynes and distributed by Amazon/FilmNation in 2017 after its premiere in competition at the Cannes Film Festival. The film, starring Julianne Moore and Michelle Williams, is based on Brian Selznick’s acclaimed novel of the same name.
Beginning in 2008, Brian produced several studio-backed features: Will Speck and Josh Gordon's "The Switch" starring Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman (Miramax, 2010); Miguel Arteta's "Cedar Rapids" starring Ed Helms and John C. Reilly (Fox, 2010); Jason Reitman's "Young Adult" starring Charlize Theron (Paramount, 2011); David Frankel’s "Hope Springs" starring Meryl Streep, Tommy Lee Jones, and Steve Carell (Columbia, 2012); Malcolm D. Lee and David Zucker's "Scary Movie 5" (Weinstein, 2013); Nicholas Stoller's "Neighbors" starring Seth Rogen and Zac Efron (Universal, 2014); "22 Jump Street" starring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum (Columbia, 2014); Jason Moore’s "Sisters" starring Tina Fey and Amy Poehler (Universal, 2015); and Ang Lee’s "Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk" starring Vin Diesel, Steve Martin, Kristen Stewart, and Chris Tucker (Columbia, 2016).
In 2002, Brian co-founded Notable Features and began producing independent films including Rebecca Miller's "Personal Velocity," winner of the 2002 Sundance Grand Jury Prize and the John Cassavetes Award at the Spirit Awards, and "The Ballad of Jack and Rose" starring Daniel Day-Lewis; Lodge Kerrigan's "Keane," winner of the 2005 Deauville Film Festival; and Michael Cuesta’s "Twelve and Holding," for which Brian received a nomination for the Independent Spirit Award’s John Cassavetes Award in 2007.
After graduating from NYU, Brian spent three years managing the development and delivery of critically acclaimed independent films such as Michael Almereyda's "Hamlet," the Sprecher brothers' "Thirteen Conversations About One Thing," and Steven Shainberg’s "Secretary."
Brian is based in New York City.
