Serafino Profumo was essentially the Robert Tessier of gritty Italian exploitation films from the 70s and 80s. Large, bald, and muscular, sporting a thick, bushy mustache, a sinister, leering smile, and a fiercely intimidating screen presence, Profumo was frequently cast in supporting roles as particularly vile, brutish, and hateful villains in spaghetti Westerns, Nazisploitation films, and women-in-chains dramas. He took a rare lead role as the cruel plantation owner Richard Hunter in the gritty "Mandinga." Other notable performances include a vicious Nazi sergeant in "SS Experiment Love Camp," the merciless Lt. Hans in "SS Camp: Women's Hell," and the sadistic women's prison guard Martinez in the extremely grim "Escape from Hell.
