Samara Lallo is an award-winning actor, filmmaker, and producer from Trinidad and Tobago. With more than a decade of experience across film, television, theatre, commercials, and voice-over, she is known for performances grounded in emotional honesty, quiet vulnerability, and depth.
She starred in the feature film Fortune for All, which received the award for Best Trinidad and Tobago Film at the Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival in 2023 and was later presented at CARIFESTA 2025. Samara also wrote, produced, and starred in the experimental short film Vulnerable, an intimate exploration of identity, emotional exposure, and the representation of Caribbean women of colour on screen. The film received international recognition, including Best Psychological Drama at the Hollywood on the Tiber Awards and screenings at festivals in Trinidad and Tobago, Africa, and India.
A graduate of the University of the West Indies with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts with Honours, Samara brings a strong foundation in performance and storytelling to her work. Her experience also includes voice performance, producing, production coordination, and creative operations.
Samara is the founder of Tiny Thunder Productions Limited, a Trinidad and Tobago creative operations company that builds the systems behind creative work. Across her creative and professional practice, she remains committed to thoughtful Caribbean storytelling and to creating work that connects with audiences through truth, humanity, and intention.
