Eric Erickson, known as The Angry Viking, is an award-winning actor and director who graduated from the University of Southern California's School of Theatre. Early in his career, he performed on stages nationwide, taking on roles such as Hamlet, Mercutio, Conrad Birdie, and Charlie Chaplin. His film credits include starring roles in "Truth" and "Jurassic Galaxy," with appearances in "Dam Sharks!," "Last Call at Murray's," and television shows like "The Last Ship," "The Young and the Restless," and "Stitchers." He also featured in the cult classic "Snake Outta Compton" as Alley Jaws.
In 2017, Eric wrote and directed his debut feature film, "Truth," in which he also co-starred. The film earned him Best Director awards from both the Silver State Film Festival and the Marina del Rey Film Festival, along with Best Actor and Best Storytelling honors at the Laughlin International Film Festival. "Truth" won Best Feature at the Worldwide Women's Film Festival, and Eric received a Best Actor nomination at Japan's Bloodstained Indie Film Festival. In 2018, he showcased the film at the Arctic Open Film Festival in Arkhangelsk, Russia.
Eric is the founder of Viking Dog Films, a production company focused on developing action and science fiction projects. He wrote, directed, and executive produced the audio drama adaptation of Moonie, a character created by Eisner Award-winning comic book artist and writer Nicola Cuti.
Nicknamed "The Angry Viking" during his stand-up comedy days, Eric has performed at venues including The World Famous Comedy Store, Garrett Morris' Downtown Comedy Club, and with The Rebels of Comedy. He also served as master of ceremonies at one of Wrigleyville's largest sports bars, entertaining thousands of Cubs fans nightly.
