Sasha Piltsin is an actor based in North America and a Russian and Ukrainian dialect and language coach for film and television, offering on-set and private coaching for productions worldwide. As an actor, he is recognized for his roles in Sniper: Assassin's End, Kompromat, Infidelity Can Be Fatal, and Crossing, along with numerous credits in feature films, TV series, and commercials produced in Canada and the United States.
Sasha is known for his structured, performance-focused approach to Russian language and dialect coaching tailored specifically for actors. His methods are praised for their practicality and dependability in professional production settings, enabling performers to deliver consistent, authentic, and believable performances on screen. This performance-based technique has been showcased in professional workshops for UBCP/ACTRA performers and acknowledged within actor training programs. His three-part Russian Accent for Actors video series is included in the electronic library catalog of the National Theatre School of Canada in Montreal, serving as an educational tool for students and faculty.
His dialect and language coaching credits include Riverdale, Supergirl, The Flash, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, Siren, The Bletchley Circle: San Francisco, and The Twilight Zone. Born in Kharkiv, Ukraine (formerly the USSR) and raised between Ukraine and Russia, Sasha brings deep knowledge of both languages and cultures to his work. A graduate of Capilano University in Cinematography & Film (Vancouver, British Columbia), he made his first guest-star appearance in 2000 on the CTV series Cold Squad, playing Mikel, an NHL player targeted by organized crime. Since then, he has maintained a dual career as both actor and dialect coach, often contributing to the same productions in both roles.
His coaching is grounded in a solid linguistic foundation and extensive experience in performance, translation, and actor training, with a focus on clarity, authenticity, and practical application for film and television.
