Victor Hermínio Lopez was born in Tepatitlan, Jalisco, Mexico, raised in Tijuana, B.C., and Venice, California, and has lived in London and Lincoln, England. His father, Hermínio, was a professional photographer trained by his uncle Samuel, while his mother, Victoria, dedicated herself to raising their eight children, with Victor being the youngest.
While living in Venice, a film production, 'Mother, Jugs & Speed' (starring Bill Cosby, Raquel Welch, and Harvey Keitel), set up in front of his family’s home for several months, sparking Victor’s interest in acting. This, along with watching Al Pacino in Dog Day Afternoon, inspired his passion.
Victor has performed on stage in England, Off-Broadway, and Los Angeles, and was a member of the Long Beach Shakespeare Company. His roles there included Don John in Much Ado About Nothing, Sebastian in Twelfth Night, Friar Laurence in Romeo & Juliet, and the title character in Christopher Marlowe's Doctor Faustus.
A Hollywood best-kept secret, Victor has primarily worked in independent foreign films such as 'Shadow Boxing 2: Revenge', the top Russian/Eastern European action-boxing-mafia hit produced by Central Partnership, which premiered at the Moscow International Film Festival; Greece’s 'Without Borders', winner of the Orpheus Audience Award at the 2011 L.A. Greek Film Festival; a lead role in Mexico’s suspense-thriller 'Soul Walker' (Guardian De Las Animas); and a principal role in 'Double Down'.
Victor is the creator of the upcoming Netflix series 'Growin' Up VENICE', which is currently in development.
